ALL riders must read the SC RELEASE OF LIABILITY LAW and sign a waiver. Riders must wear a helmet, long pants and a hardsole shoe with a heel. ( helmets available)

It is our goal at REDBARN to provide enjoyable horse experiences under the safest possible conditions at minimum cost. Our lesson program, incorporating CONFIDENCE RIDING is the culmination of 25+ years of experience with emphasis on the total horse/rider relationship. It explains the 'why of what happens' to produce independent, thinking riders who can operate safely and efficiently outside of the lesson ring. It stresses the foundations of all good horsemanship ( legs, seat, hands, balance & timing) applicable to any discipline or level of riding you choose on your equine journey. Our seasoned school horses and unique 'file style' of riding maximize ring time so that everyone is working and learning at once. Variety in lesson plans ( figure work, bareback, skills course, drill team work, pasture lessons, etc ) keep it all interesting.
We also provide opportunities for friendly competition ( academy shows ) but primary emphasis in this area is on sportsmanship and camaraderie.
